Jim Thorpe Borough Council reported the following items last week:

• Jim Thorpe’s fall tire and electronics recycling event was a success. Council President Greg Strubinger said the borough recycled 125 televisions, 301 tires and 107 miscellaneous electronic devices.

“We thank all the residents for participating,” he said. “Also, council members Connor Rodgers, Mike Yeastedt and I were here assisting residents.”

The next recycling event will be held in the spring, with the date and time to be announced.
