November 15, 1978 — Three area football players are added to the Big 33-PIAA checklist. Panther Valley’s Duane Slonaker is recognized at the linemen-linebackers category, as is Lehighton’s George Ebbert. Also receiving honors in Marian’s Mike Sist as a wide receiver. Other District 11 players to gain weekly recognition include Stroudsburg quarterback Al Strouse and Easton’s Bob Moore (lineman/linebacker) and Isaac Knight (defensive back).
