Entertainment around the area
Sting, set for two nights of his 3.0 Tour at the Wind Creek Event Center, leads the entertainment highlights coming to local and regional entertainment over the next two weeks.
The musician, a 2003 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee as a member of The Police, will perform as part of a trio. The 3.0 project inspired Sting’s 2024 single “I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart).”
Among other shows, Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra and Jim Thorpe’s Free Range Folk return for Thanksgiving Eve shows at Penn’s Peak and Mauch Chunk Opera House, respectively.
Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Artimus Pyle, along with his band, will also play the opera house.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra, meanwhile, brings its holiday spectacle to the PPL Center, with “Sesame Street Live! Elmo & Friends Say Hello” set for the State Theatre.
