Richard J. Hoben of Lansford was elected president of the Carbon County Tourist Promotion Agency during a meeting held last evening in the Summit Hill Rod and Gun Club.

Hoben, former editor of the Evening Record newspaper, Lansford, will fill the unexpired term of Ralph Kreamer of Lehighton, who resigned as head of the organization.

Kreamer will retain membership with the organization but saw fit to resign as its president due to his work obligations in Harrisburg.

Mrs. Agnes McCartney, executive director of the Carbon County Planning Commission, updated the agency members on the continuing work in conjunction with the Mauch Chunk Watershed project.
