Marian names members of the leadership committee

Marian High School announces the full leadership committee for the Marian Fund for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

Under the direction of co-chairs Dan LaBert and Maria Montero, this dedicated group of alumni, parents, grandparents, and faculty members will play a vital role in helping Marian achieve its ambitious fundraising goal of $550,000 in support of student financial aid, academic excellence and faith formation.

“The Marian Fund is essential to sustaining our mission and ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality Catholic education,” said the Rev. Robert Finlan, principal. “We are deeply grateful for this outstanding team of volunteers who are giving their time, energy and hearts to move Marian forward.”

Other members of the 2025-26 Marian Fund Leadership Committee include:

• Keith McCall and Pat McCall, alumni chairs;

• Paula Holovoiak, Ph.D., Class of 2026, current parent chair;

• Dr. Joanne Calabrese, Class of 2027, current parent chair;

• Marty and Pam (Hosak) Polakovic, Class of 2028, current parent chairs;

• Matthew and Kellie (Hanrahan) Giannelli, Class of 2029, current parent chairs;

• Ed and Karen (Keefer) Weicker, grandparent chairs, and;

• Joe Sterns, faculty and staff chair.

Together, this group hopes to inspire participation across the Marian community — including alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends — encouraging all to give what they can in support of Marian’s mission.

“The Marian Fund is about more than dollars,” said Erin Marek, Psy. D., director of Advancement. “It’s about connection — alumni reconnecting with classmates, parents engaging with the school community, and families coming together to strengthen the Marian experience for every student. This Leadership Committee embodies the spirit of service and faith that defines Marian Catholic.”

The Marian Fund provides critical support to the school’s annual operating budget, directly benefiting every student through tuition assistance, academic resources, technology and campus maintenance. Tuition and fees cover only about half the cost of a Marian education. The Marian Fund helps bridge that gap and ensures Marian’s tradition of excellence continues for generations to come.

Those wishing to make a gift to the Marian Fund may do so online at www.mariancatholichs.org or by contacting Marek at emarek@mariancatholichs.org.
