The Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No. 440, Slatington, celebrated the 115th anniversary of its founding at a banquet held at the First United Church of Christ, Palmerton. More than 200 persons attended.
The lodge was organized on July 10, 1869, with 124 members. Today, it has more than 600 members.
Worshipful Master Joseph J. Ryno Jr. served as master of ceremonies for the program, which included a memorial service conducted by Brother Kenneth Zellner.
Greetings were extended by C. Forest Trexler and past Grand Master Paul Kunkle addressed the audience on the subject of “The Future of Free Masonry.”
Ryno was presented a gift by the lodge members for his service throughout the years.
