Lansford Borough Council did not meet Wednesday night for its workshop meeting due to a lack of quorum.

A quorum consists of four council members, and only two were available. Two council members had work obligations, another had family obligations and a fourth was sick.

Among the items on the agenda were heating options for the former Zimmerman building, which is being used as a borough garage; sewer projects on Powell and East Front streets; an update on the Act 537 sewage treatment plan; and discussion on funding options.

Council also planned to discuss funding for a new borough garage, selling equipment, seeking a grant for a new streets equipment and possibly hiring a certified planner for the future of the former pool area in Ashton Park.
