PPL Utilities reports as of 1 a.m. more than 10,000 people are without power in the region because of windy conditions.

In Carbon County, 932 customers are out. The breakdown includes: East Penn Township, 453; Kidder Township, 258; Lausanne Township, 40; Mahoning Township, 75; Packer Township, 8; Penn Forest Township, 61, and Towamensing Township, 37.

In Lehigh County, more than 2,700 are without power, including: North Whitehall Township, 23; Slatington, 129; Washington Township, 313, and Whitehall Township, 861.

Monroe County has 3,800 customers without power, including 275 in Chestnuthill Township, 32 in Eldred Township and 3 in Ross Township.

In Northampton County, 884 customers are out, including 32 in Lehigh Township.

More than 2,200 customers are without power in Schuylkill County, including 954 in West Penn Township, 39 in Rush Township and 4 in Tamaqua.

First Energy is reporting 7 customers in Ross Township are without power.
