Council meeting: 7:30 p.m. Monday. Council meetings are open to all members of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Congregational meeting: The next congregational meeting will be held on Nov. 16 following the worship service in the fellowship hall. The purpose of this meeting is to pass the 2026 budget and elect council members.

Trinity Food Pantry: Food of the month is macaroni and cheese.

Free Thanksgiving meal: Five churches, Zion Stone West Penn, St. Peter’s West Penn, St. John’s Mahoning, Dinkey Memorial Ashfield and Ben Salem UCC Andreas are sponsoring a free Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 22. This will be a drive-thru pickup at Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Road, Lehighton, from 1-3 p.m. that day. You must preregister to receive your free meal by calling Nancy Meiser at 570-205-9267, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Registration ends on Nov. 18.

175th anniversary: The 175th anniversary of Dinkey is in April. Planning has started on the celebration.
