The Lehighton Area Halloween Parade Committee met in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin L Hawk, Lehighton, and distributed $1,620 in prizes to various groups, float organizer and individuals who participated in Saturday’s four-division parade.

The committee also named officers of its board for 1979, naming Milton Balliet to serve as chairman; Stanley Koch, vice chairman; Grace Doll, secretary; and Andrew P. Ovsak, treasurer.

Ervin Hawk, outgoing chairman, organized the parade committee eight years ago after the community had been without a Halloween parade for 10 years. He will continue to serve on the committee.
