Several people were injured Monday evening when involved in a crash in the borough of Coaldale. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. along the 600 block of East Water street near the Carbon County border. The head-on collision involved a car and a sport utility vehicle. The victims were treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center. Tamqua police are investigating the incident.
