                The Concourse Club of Palmerton is holding the first open meeting of their club year at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company, 270 Little Gap Road, Palmerton.
                “Identity Theft” will be the program presented by speaker David P. Shallcross, director of Senior Protection, Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. The Concourse Club would like to invite the public to join them for the evening’s program followed by light refreshments and fellowship.
                Shallcross has worked protecting communities for more than 30 years, beginning his career as deputy sheriff with the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office and working with various law enforcement agencies including Homeland Security.
                Since 2008, Shallcross has worked with the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General in various positions focusing on the Elder Abuse Unit. In this capacity, he has conducted hundreds of seminars and senior expo programs.
                The Concourse Club is a women’s civic organization proudly serving the community of Palmerton and surrounding Carbon County communities, promoting interests in education, social welfare, governmental affairs and fine arts through community service, scholarships and fundraising activities.
