MCT announces third quarter earnings

The Board of Directors of Mauch Chunk Trust Financial Corporation have released earnings results for the corporation for the period ended Sept. 30.

Net income for the three months ended Sept. 30 was $516,000, $189,000 higher than the same period in 2024. On a per share basis, net income was 15 cents this year versus 10 cents last year.

Lower net income in 2025 is attributable to a decrease in other income and increases in the provision for credit losses, partially offset by higher net interest income, and lower other and tax expenses.

MCT, the wholly owned subsidiary of MCTFC, is a locally owned and managed independent community bank with its main office in Jim Thorpe, Carbon County.
