Pleasant Valley Personnel
The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following personnel changes at its recent meeting:
• Club/Activity adviser (no cost to the school district) — Science National Honor Society, Maricatherine Garr, PVHS.
• New Club/Activity adviser (no cost to the school district) — Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Dan Muir, PVHS.
• Hiring of after school program teachers and paraprofessionals — Kristin Heckman and Linda Stephens, health room technicians, $29 per hour; Dawn Kieffer, nurse, $46 per hour; and Crystal Hicks and Amy Wilusz, teachers, $46 per hour.
• Hiring of long-term substitute professional staff — Kyle Seeger, LTS industrial teacher, PVMS, Step 1, $60,642 (prorated), Oct. 29 to Jan. 20, 2026.
• Hiring of support staff — Brittney Wesley, paraprofessional, PVMS, $27,586, replaced Taylor Lenahan (resigned).
• Homebound instructor — Julie Tonkay, $30 per hour.
• Rescind hiring — Koby Staivecki, accepted permanent teaching position in another school district, long-term substitute industrial teacher, PVMS; Samantha Kresge, rescinded, food service employee, PVES; Elaine Cucci, clerical error, high school assistant drama director for fall.
• Resignations — Robert Mahady, police officer, districtwide, effective Oct. 17; Hilary Corbi, food service employee, PVIS, effective Oct. 22; Rahim Sabovic, security officer, districtwide, effective Oct. 28.
• Retirement — Talitha Graham, chemistry teacher, PVHS, end of the school year.
• Supplemental contracts: athletic — Joseph Berzwick, boys basketball, varsity assistant, $4,969; Brandy Pollard, girls basketball, freshman/junior varsity assistant, $4,969; Patrick Luchowski, girls basketball, middle school assistant, $1,855.50 split stipend; and Amy Davidson, girls wrestling, safety manager for away matches, $110 per event.
• Supplemental contracts: nonathletic — Chad Snyder, high school band, band assistant, $4,033; Chess Club, PVMS, Lucille Rhock (adviser), $650; PVHS drama assistant director for fall, Aubrey Sawyer, $2,150; National Junior Honor Society, PVMS, Lisa Wojton (adviser), $1,850; Student Government, PVMS, Lisa Wojton (adviser), $1,650; building detention monitor, Daisy Genovese and Liliana Lear at PVHS, Nicole Composto, Janel Santore and Sheri Fallon at PVMS, and Jenny Kuntz and Laurie Koonce at PVIS, $28 per hour.
