The Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club invites people to participate in the Pediatric “STRIDES for Diabetes” Walk, a special event dedicated to raising awareness and supporting children living with diabetes. The walk will take place rain or shine on Saturday at St. Luke’s Health Network — Carbon Campus. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the walk starts at 11 a.m.
This global Lions Club initiative is aimed at promoting diabetes awareness, prevention, and healthy living — especially among children. By bringing our community together, Lions hope to inspire positive change and provide much-needed support for families affected by pediatric diabetes.
There is a registration fee to participate, and T-shirts are available while supplies last. Snacks, soup and beverages will be available for sale throughout the event.
Please bring your empty water bottles to the designated recycling station at the event.
All proceeds from the Pediatric “STRIDES for Diabetes” Walk will benefit the SLUHN Pediatric Diabetes Program, helping to provide vital resources and care for children in our region.
For questions or more information about the walk, please call (570) 778-8082.
