October 30, 1987 — A late touchdown drive and extra point allow Panther Valley to pull out a 14-13 victory over North Schuylkill. After the Spartans take a lead with 3:22 left to play on a pick-six, the Panthers start their next possession on their own 17-yard line. Jim Paluck connects with Tom Miller on a 41-yard pass, and Jeff Goida runs for 16 more yards. Another throw from Paluck to Miller gets the ball to the three, and Cody Sheridan does the rest, getting in for the tying score. Ted Shober hits the extra point to put the Panthers, coached by Joe Leonzi, ahead for good. Sheridan ends with 82 yards rushing while Miller catches six passes for 102 yards.
