Veteran event

Heritage Hill Senior Community, 800 Sixth St., Weatherly, shows its appreciation for military veterans on Nov. 7, with a complimentary meal.

Veterans may choose a sit-down luncheon with an honorary program from 1:30-3 p.m., or pick up a dinner to go from 4-5 p.m. In-house seating is limited, and each veteran may select one mealtime option.

All veterans will receive a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative medal.

Caregiver support

Hill’s Angels Helping and Healing Caregiver Support Group meets the second Tuesday of every month at Heritage Hill Senior Community, 800 Sixth St., Weatherly.

The free support group provides a safe, welcoming space to share your caregiving experiences — the ups, downs and uncertainties.

Led by Executive Director Lisa Perla, the group aims to connect, learn from one another and explore supportive ways to navigate the changes that come with dementia. Join caregivers on Nov. 11 at 4 p.m.
