State police at Frackville - crashes
State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:
• Dil Ramirez Lucas Lopez, 37, of Shenandoah, was uninjured when the vehicle she was driving struck a deer at 7:02 p.m. Oct. 10 on Tuscarora Park Road, Rush Township.
Police said she was driving a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder east when the deer entered her lane of travel and was hit.
The Pathfinder was towed from the scene, police said.
• David A. Smith, 66, of Barnesville, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 8:40 p.m. Oct. 16 on Tuscarora Park Road, Rush Township.
Police said he refused an emergency medical services transport from the scene.
They said he was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when he avoided striking two deer that had entered the path of the vehicle, but the Silverado crashed into a pole. It was towed from the scene.
Police said Smith was cited after the crash.
• Jose Perez, 50, of Hazleton, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 7:20 a.m. Oct. 18 on Route 309 (Claremont Avenue) in Hometown, Rush Township.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the McAdoo Fire Company Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton Campus.
Police said he was driving a 2015 Toyota RAV4 northbound when a deer entered its path. They said Perez was unable to avoid striking the deer.
• Marichelle C. Justoba, 51, of Perry Hall, Maryland, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:18 p.m. Oct. 25 on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township.
Police said she was driving a 2022 Honda CRV southbound when it hit a large deer that was standing in the left travel lane.
The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
