State police at Fogelsville - crashes

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Lucas Almonti, 44, of New Tripoli, was uninjured in a hit-and-run crash at 10:22 p.m. Oct. 23 on the on-ramp of Interstate 78 eastbound in Upper Macungie Township.

Police said he was driving a 2016 Jeep Compass that was hit from behind by an Audi whose driver failed to stop after the impact. Police said the Jeep left its lane of travel and hit the concrete center barrier on the left side of the on-ramp.

The Jeep had minor damage to its rear bumper and functional damage to its front-end.

• Tyler M. Hutta, 27, of Coaldale, had suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 1 a.m. Oct. 26 on King’s Highway, Lynn Township.

Police said he sustained a right hand injury but did not require an emergency services transport from the scene.

Police said he was driving a 2020 Nissan Rogue that hit a deer that had jumped into his lane of travel.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
