A Lansford man faces drug charges after controlled buys at a home on East Abbott Street in Lansford earlier this month.
William Carter, 41, of East Abbott Street, was charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.
District Judge Beth Dodson set bail at $60,000, and Carter was remanded to the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning last week. A preliminary hearing is scheduled in November.
According to court papers filed by Nesquehoning police, borough officers as part of the Carbon County Drug Task Force began a drug trafficking investigation into Carter in early October.
Three controlled drug purchases of illegal narcotics, methamphetamine and cocaine were made from a home in the 200 block of East Abbott Street and Carter used his cellphone to arrange the transactions, court papers said.
Officers seized 1.36 grams of methamphetamine, 0.36 grams of cocaine and 0.74 grams of methamphetamine, court papers said.
