The Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company as well as members of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources were dispatched Wednesday to a brush fire along the D&L Trail near Lock 7. The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. about a half-mile north of the Weissport parking lot. The area has been the site of numerous brush fires over the past several months.
