3 vehicles crash in Lynn Twp.

Three vehicles crashed at 3:50 p.m. Oct. 20 at the intersection of Route 309 and Hunter’s Hill Road, Lynn Township, state police at the Fogelsville barracks said.

According to police, a 17-year-old girl from New Tripoli was evaluated at the scene by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps but refused transport to an area hospital.

Sandra L. Heck, 59, of Tamaqua, was also evaluated, police said.

The third person, Katie M. Hudson, 39, of New Tripoli, was evaluated at the scene and transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.

Police said the crash occurred as Hudson was driving a 2022 Kia Sportage southbound on Route 309 when she slowed and applied her turn signal to make a left turn onto Hunter’s Hill Road.

They said a 2013 Ford Focus operated by the 17-year-old girl failed to stop in time and hit the back of the Sportage, causing it to spin into the northbound lane, where it was struck by a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Heck.

The Camry then hit a street sign, police said.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene.

The driver of the Focus was cited after the crash, according to police.
