They did not provide names or details, but said the matter involved a situation of simple harassment between the parties.
• Steven Michalik, 58, of Frackville, was cited for driving while his license is suspended due to a DUI violation after police made a traffic stop at 3:14 p.m. on Oct. 16.
He was stopped in a 2004 Chrysler near Mall Road and Route 61 in Ryan Township. Police said the violation was determined to be Michalik’s third offense.
• Mark Lutz, 46, of Lanham, Maryland, is facing charges of defiant trespass, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to a property on River Road, East Brunswick Township, at 1:28 p.m. on Sept. 28.
Police said he was arraigned and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville.
They said they responded to a trespassing incident at the above location and learned that Lutz arrived at the residence of a 54-year-old New Ringgold woman, remaining on her property despite being given warnings to leave.
Police said they found him sitting in his truck in the driveway of the residence and saw drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view. They said Lutz displayed indicators of drug-based impairment and was taken into custody.
Police said a search of Lutz’s belongings by prison personnel following his arraignment resulted in them finding numerous packets of Suboxone. A search warrant was later obtained by police, who found additional drugs, including ketamine, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms in Lutz’s truck.
