October 23, 1993 — Brett Snyder carries 19 times for 133 yards and a touchdown and adds a dozen tackles on defense to help Northwestern earn a 28-13 victory over Salisbury. Snyder extends a narrow one-point lead in the third quarter when he reaches the end zone on an 11-yard run. Larry Koch adds 81 rushing yards on 12 attempts and scores a pair of touchdowns on runs of four and 54 yards. Tiger quarterback Scott Bolansky, who throws for 115 yards, accounts for the other tally with a 1-yard keeper. Bolansky also intercepts a pass on defense for the winners, coached by Bob Mitchell.
