Franklin police chief gets 4-year contract
Franklin Township’s Police Chief Jason Doll has a new four-year pact.
On a unanimous vote, township supervisors on Tuesday ratified the chief of police agreement, which runs Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2029.
As part of the agreement, Doll will receive $102,762 in 2026; $105,845 in 2027; $109,020 in 2028; and $112,291 in 2029.
His current salary is $90,829.
After the vote, Supervisor Fred Kemmerer Jr. complimented board Chairman Jason Frey for negotiating a new contract with Doll.
“I know I’m happy with how the negotiations went,” Kemmerer Jr. said. “I’m happy with having Mr. Doll as one of the only working chiefs in the whole county; it’s something that we take pride in, it’s just another instance where we made sure that he was taken care of.”
Frey was also complimentary of Doll.
“As long as he’s been chief, we haven’t had any issues, any lawsuits, any problems, his paperwork is impeccable,” Frey said. “So yeah, I’m very pleased with Chief Doll.”
In December, supervisors on a 2-0 vote ratified an agreement between the township and the Fraternal Order of Police representing the township police department.
The contract is from Jan. 1, 2025 through Dec. 31, 2028.
It calls for a 3% increase in salaries in each of the four years.
In September 2020, Doll was reappointed police chief as part of a new agreement that runs through December.
Doll was named police chief in November 2017.
