Kayla M. Semmel, Carbon County prothonotary, has released the following statistical reports for the last three months.

July

A total of 377 cases were started in July, which included three stip/waiv liens; five mental health; six miscellaneous; two name change; one paternity; one quiet title; one parition; seven custody modifications; 18 writ of execution; 50 civil actions; one civil appeal; 209 judgments; 12 custody; three district judge appeals; 13 divorces; five landlord/tenant appeals; four license appeal; 14 mortgage foreclosures; and 28 protection from abuse.

Total income generated:$38,906.42.

Fees remitted to the county for the Remote Access Fund for Remote Access Fees, $1,200; remitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (fees collected on new cases), $5,165.47; Automation Fund, $1,359.08; sales tax turned over to the state for tax on passport photos, $51.

A total of 43 passport applications processed with 60 passport photos taken.

August

A total of 489 cases were started in August, which included seven mental health; 12 miscellaneous; two name change; eight custody modifications; 18 writ of execution; 46 civil actions; one civil appeal; 332 judgments; six custody; six district judge appeals; 11 divorces; one landlord/tenant appeals; one license appeal; 11 mortgage foreclosures; one replevin; and 23 protection from abuse.

Total income generated:$42,273.77.

Fees remitted to the county for the Remote Access Fund for Remote Access Fees, $1,000; remitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (fees collected on new cases), $4,872.32; Automation Fund, $1,834.58; sales tax turned over to the state for tax on passport photos, $66.30.

September

A total of 404 cases were started in September, which included 11 mental health; four miscellaneous; one name change; two paternity; 15 modifications; six writ of execution; 53 civil actions; one confession of judgment; 253 judgments; 11 custody; one declaratory judgment; two district judge appeals; eight divorces; three ejectment; one EM DOC DEC/TAK; two landlord/tenant appeals; one license appeal; eight mortgage foreclosures; three replevin; and 18 protection from abuse.

Total income generated:$37,168.50.

Fees remitted to the county for the Remote Access Fund for Remote Access Fees, $550; remitted to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (fees collected on new cases), $4,572.89; Automation Fund, $1,230.39; sales tax turned over to the state for tax on passport photos, $48.45.
