State police at Fogelsville - crashes

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:

• A 15-year-old New Tripoli boy had suspected minor injuries after a crash at 12:59 a.m. Sept. 27 on Bachelor Road in Weisenberg Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.

They said the crash involved a Polaris Trail Boss and another vehicle, which they did not identify. The driver of the other vehicle also was not identified.

Police said one vehicle went out of control and struck the second vehicle.

• Jessica M. Geist, 33, of New Tripoli, was uninjured when the 2022 Kia she was driving struck a deer on Kistler Valley Road, Lynn Township, at 7:15 p.m. Sept. 19.

Police said the vehicle was towed from the scene.

• One driver had suspected minor injuries and another had possible injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 6:45 a.m. Oct. 4 on South Cedar Crest Boulevard in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said Michelle Oleski, 37, of Coopersburg, was transported by personnel from the Macungie Ambulance Association to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries, while George D. Szakonyi, 58, of Slatington, refused a medical services transport.

They said the crash occurred when Szakonyi was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup and Oleski was operating a 2023 Mazda.

Police did not provide details of the crash but said Szakonyi was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• Sierra E. Frey, 20, of Barto, was cited after a three-vehicle crash at 8:07 a.m. Oct. 9 on Route 100 in Lowhill Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said she was driving a 2000 Toyota Avalon southbound when she made an unsafe lane change and the car struck a 2017 Mazda3 operated by Chequna V. Grant, 43, of Tamaqua, and a second vehicle, whose driver left the scene.

Police were able to identify Frey and later filed the charges against her in district court.

They said all three vehicles had minor damage.

• Timothy J. Labadie, 20, of Cherryville, was cited for following too closely after a two-vehicle crash at 6:50 p.m. Oct. 10 on Hamilton Boulevard in Lower Macungie Township.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police said the crash occurred as Labadie was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup east when it hit the back of a 2024 International Harvester operated by Angelo Aviles Jr., 62, of Schnecksville, after the latter had slowed down for a red light.

Police said the F-150 had disabling damage, while the International had minor damages.
