On Sunday, Nesquehoning Historical Society was filled with several people looking to see what their heirlooms and treasures were worth. The society welcomed George Blum, an antique expert and appraiser, to come in and talk about these treasures, providing a little insight on each piece, which included jewelry, a Franz Kline drawing from when he was beginning his artistic career, a Martin guitar and lots of China and crystal. Seen here, Blum is holding an old picture from the Coaldale fire department. All proceeds from the event went toward the borough’s America250 celebrations in 2026. AMY MILLER/TIMES NEWS
