A debate on payment of a bill to the East Penn Transportation Company lasted more than one hour before the bill was approved for payment last evening during a meeting of the Panther Valley Joint School Board.

Fourteen members, a bare quorum, attended last evening’s session and were divided in their opinion on paying a $352 bill for 16 days of transportation for students attending Marian Catholic High School from Lansford, Coaldale and Summit Hill.

Clifford Christ, John Teno and Russell Burnett were against paying the bill, with Stephen Radocha, Steve Botek, Mike Lukac, Russell Anstead, Stanley Kozuch, Roy Zimardo, Joseph Macaluso, Vincent Marino and William Patterson voting in favor of payment. Frank Jones and Michael Porvaznik did not cast votes.
