A 92-year-old New Tripoli man drowned in Walker Township Friday night.

State police at Frackville said the drowning was accidental.

Police were called to the scene at 4:48 p.m. Friday.

State police at Frackville, the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office and firefighters were on the scene along Carbon Lane off Route 309 just south of Tamaqua.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
