Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

ABC Food Pantry: Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items can now be dropped off in the church lobby.

Blessed ministry: The Blessing Room is open to the general public. Anyone who needs food or clothing, contact Jan Lazarchak at jklpta @yahoo.com. Gently used clothing donations are also being accepted by appointment.

Choir: The choir will present “A Christmas Concert” in December. Rehearsals for the event are held in the choir room across from the nursery. Call the church office for more information.

Save the date

• Ladies Luncheon, Nov. 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Theme is “Hope in Every Season.” It will include a time to incorporate worship with music by Celeste Leininger, Jan Lazarchak, Michele Miller and Sandy Jenkins. There will also be a speaker. Signups are requested to allow for proper food preparation. Lunch will include a taco bar and dessert.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Dr., Palmerton (Trachsville) holds worship services at 10 a.m. every Sunday in the church sanctuary. The Rev. Marian Johnson officiates.

The second annual car show in the Grove will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 25.

Holiday filling is for sale for Thanksgiving. It is the same as the Happy Bowl filling from the Palmerton Festival. Filling can be ordered in 2 pound or 5 pound options. Deadline to order is Nov. 1 and pickup is Nov. 22.
