The Northern Lehigh Swimming Pool Association held a bingo and basket raffle on Saturday at the Slatedale Fire Company.

Celeste Williams, chairman of the fundraising committee, said, “I would like to send a special thanks to the Slatington and Lehigh Township Lions Clubs for their help with grant money for the pool, $37,750 to be used for handicap accessible improvements for easy in and out of the pool, and special hardware for the ladies bathroom have been done so far.”

She thanked the community who have come out to support the pool association.”

“Money that we raise will be used for improvements like bathroom facilities, well maintenance, more umbrellas for shade. We would also like to have more events like dances, and Christmas in July.”
