Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Oct. 2 with 27 members present.

Two members are celebrating birthdays. One member won a Halloween basket that was donated and chanced off.

The group was asked to help the Tamaqua Community Hunger Campaign by donating nonperishable foods this month.

The group meets at 1 p.m. Thursdays at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited.

Free Diapers

Diaper Depot, the free diaper ministry at Zion Lutheran Church in Tamaqua, is accepting new clients for its Oct. 18 diaper distribution. Request deadline is Oct. 15.

Clients must live in the Tamaqua Area School District.

Diapers are for children ages newborn to 4 years. A limited number of size 7 diapers are available. Diapers are distributed by appointment on Oct. 18. Appointments are assigned when requests are processed.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.
