As part of the Tamaqua Heritage Festival on Sunday, the Tamaqua Historical Society will have its museum, annex and Scott Art Gallery open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 118 W. Broad St.
The 1848 Hegarty Blacksmith Shop and the new Tamaqua Area Wagon Works Museum will both be open for tours and blacksmithing demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are located on Hegarty Avenue at the corner of Nescopeck Street.
The Tamaqua Anthracite Model Railroad Club will have an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a large operating H.O. Scale train layout. The club’s headquarters are on the second floor of 133 W. Broad St.
Festival vendors, crafters, exhibitors, food vendors and music will be setup along South Railroad Street, rain or shine.
The Tamaqua Heritage Festival is coordinated and presented by Harmony Lodge of the Tamaqua Odd Fellows organization.
