Marian’s volleyball team ended regular season play with a win, defeating Weatherly.

The Fillies and Panther Valley have both earned spots in the upcoming league playoffs.

Marian wrapped up regular season action on a winning note, as the Fillies swept Weatherly in Schuylkill League action.

Alena Lombardo led the way for Marian with eight kills, while Eris Hayes added 17 aces, 13 assists, three digs and two kills.

Kelly Reiner paced the Wreckers with four digs, three service points and two aces.

Marian will participate in the league playoffs and faces Blue Mountain Monday in a quarterfinal matchup.

Panther Vy.-Pottsville

Pottsville pulled off a Schuylkill League sweep of visiting Panther Valley.

The Panthers still captured the Division 1 title and receive a bye into the league’s semifinal round on Tuesday. The Tide face Nativity in the quarterfinals on Monday.

Morgan Orsulak paced PV with 18 kills, 12 assists and four digs, while JaeLynn Browdy added 11 kills, 13 assists and five digs.

The Panthers’ Jessica Hackash chipped in with five kills and two blocks, while Madeline Schirer added seven digs and two assists.

Tamaqua dropped its regular-season finale, falling to Mahanoy Area in Schuylkill League play.

Leah Black, Millie Black and Isadora Neifert all had nine kills for the Blue Raiders. Madison Schock added 27 assists and 14 digs.

Millie Black and Kelsey Lusch also finished with 14 digs.

Eddison Mitchell and Cayden Campomizzi accounted for the Colts’ two tallies.
