A Lansford woman faces assault and resisting arrest charges after attempting to hit a police officer in September.
Jamie Gable, 42, of East Abbott Street, was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault and disorderly conduct by District Judge William Kissner last week.
She was released on $7,500 unsecured bail and a preliminary hearing is scheduled Wednesday.
According to court papers, Gable reported her son as running away, suicidal and looking to fight another juvenile on Sept. 12. Police located the boy and an altercation occurred, court papers said, and force was used to subdue him.
Gable arrived on the scene, became hysterical, yelled and screamed and attempted to push past a Summit Hill police officer, court papers said.
After several attempts to calm Gable down, she attempted to strike the officer with a closed fist, court papers said. She was handcuffed and detained, and officer used force to subdue her, arrest papers said.
