Two people were seriously injured Monday afternoon in a crash in Ryan Township.

The crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-81at the 134 mile marker just north of the Delano exit.

The two were entrapped in the vehicle and were extricated from the wreckage by members of the Delano, McAdoo and Ryan township fire companies.

The victims were treated at the scene by members of the Shenandoah, McAdoo ambulances and Lehigh Valley Health Network paramedics. The two were flown from the scene by MedEvac and LifeFlight helicopters. State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
