Thorpe fall festival starts on Saturday

The 2025 Jim Thorpe Fall Festival opens on Saturday with a variety of activities and music. The festival runs on the first three weekends of October.

This weekend’s music schedule includes:

Saturday

• Downtown Gazebo (Josiah White Park) — noon to 4 p.m., Teacher and The Poet.

• Quarry Street Stage — 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Jay Smar; and 2 to 5 p.m., Free Range Folk.

• Race Street Stage (Shozo Park) — noon to 3 p.m., Jessica Corbin.

• Mauch Chunk Opera House — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Shane and Claire from France.

Sunday

• Downtown Gazebo (Josiah White Park) — noon to 4 p.m., PA Villagers Polka Band;

• Quarry Street Stage — noon to 1 p.m., Kimberleigh Rose; and 1 to 5 p.m., Twin Hill and The Mountain, and;

• Race Street Stage (Shozo Park) — noon to 3 p.m., Dave Matsinko.

There is no entry fee for the Jim Thorpe Fall Festival, but there are fees for parking, food and train rides.

The town’s shops will be open and there will be many food vendors during the festival, as well as the local restaurants.
