The Blue Raiders, coached by Dick Jones, fall behind early but score 31 unanswered points to pull away for the win. Comisac reaches the end zone on runs of 12 and three yards, while the winners also receive a 4-yard scoring run from George Myers and a 13-yard TD pass from Gary Chickirda to Dave Wehr. Tamaqua’s defense also records points as both Bob Sherry and Jerome Satoris make tackles in the end zone for safeties. Coaldale receives a 31-yard TD run from Joe Terry and a 71-yard scoring pass from Terry to Dan Popik.
