Fall events

• Chestnuthill Township will present a fall movie, “Lilo & Stitch,” under the stars in the park tonight, beginning at 7 p.m.

• Penn Kidder PTA Harvest Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school, with great food, a DJ, bounce houses for the children, along with crafts and activities, mum and pumpkin sales, live animals from the Carbon County Environmental Center and much more.

• Polk Township Environmental Day, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the township walking park, 121 Polk Township Road, Kresgeville. The park is located next to the township building. The family-oriented event features food, music, a petting zoo, face painting, and a pumpkin patch.

• Quiet Valley Harvest Festival: Experience a glimpse of 19th-century farm life with costumed reenactors demonstrating skills like spinning and weaving. The event on Oct. 11 to 12, is located at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm. Pony rides and live music will be featured. The farm museum is located at 347 Quiet Valley Road, Stroudsburg.

• Christ Evangelical Free Church annual fall harvest fair for kids ages 3 years old — sixth grade on Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Games, snacks and candy. The community is invited. Christ Evangelical Free Church is located at 2420 Blakeslee Blvd Dr. W, Lehighton.

• Chestnuthill Parks & Recreation, 4th Annual Halloween Spooktacular Oct. 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. This community event offers a day of family-friendly autumn activities, at Chestnuthill Park, Route 715, Brodheadsville.

Activities: Past events have included tractor hay rides, pumpkin painting, food trucks, games, a trunk-or-treat, and a kids’ costume contest.

• The Pocono Food Truck Festival: Enjoy a variety of food trucks, live music, and other entertainment at Shawnee Mountain on Saturday and Sunday.

• The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival: Country Junction’s festival runs daily through Oct. 26. This family-friendly event includes hayrides, a petting zoo, and pumpkin picking. Country Junction is located at 6565 Interchange Road, Lehighton

• The Electrifying Jack-O-Lantern Experience, a Halloween-themed festival at the West End Fairgrounds features hand-carved pumpkins, food trucks, and fire pits. It is open Thursdays through Sundays from Oct. 10 through Nov. 1 at the fairgrounds, located at 570 Fairground Road, Gilbert. Tickets online only: www.electrifyingjackolanterns.com.

• Oktoberfest presented by Lehigh Valley International Airport is returning for its 15th year this weekend and Oct. 10 to 12 at the ArtsQuest Campus at SteelStacks. Hours are: 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays, noon to 10 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Steelstacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. This two-weekend celebration brings German traditions to life with a modern Lehigh Valley twist: with bratwurst, strudels and smoky BBQ, plus four biergartens and the Brewers’ Village serving up award-winning brews, quirky competitions.

• Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom Halloween Haunt through Nov. 2. This year’s Halloween Haunt will feature seven haunted mazes, five immersive scare zones, thrilling rides like Iron Menace and Steel Force under the stars, seasonal food and beverages, and live entertainment. Recommended for ages 13 and older, with bonus Sundays on Oct. 12, 19, 26 and Nov. 2. Located at 3830 Dorney Park Road, Allentown.

• Blue Mountain’s Fright Time Zip & Climb, Oct. 11 18, 24 & 25. Tickets and info: skibluemt.com/fright-zip-climb/.

Trunk or treats

• Panther Valley Intermediate School PTO will hold a trunk or treat from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 in the PVIS parking lot. There will be concession stands with snacks and drinks. Candy donations and trunks are needed. If you want to host a trunk to give out candy, email panthervalleyintermediatepto@gmail.com.

• Polk Township Fire Company parking lot in the back will be set up for Trunk or Treat on Oct. 27. Costumed kids and their families will go around collecting candy and treats.

• Kinsley’s Shoprite Spooktacular, 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 26, arts and crafts, face painting, pony rides, treat bags, costume contest.. 07 Kinsley Drive, Brodheadsville.

• The annual Trunk or Treat at Nesquehoning Hose Co. 1, 953 E. Catawissa St., will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 25. To sign up your car for the event, call 484-464-8062.
