Kemmerer Park announces winners of photo contest

The Kemmerer Park Association has announced the winners of the 2025 Kemmerer Park Photography Contest, a community event celebrating local creativity and the natural beauty of Kemmerer Park.

The contest awarded five prizes and three honorable mentions.

First place: Renee Wunderlich, $150.

Second place: Jackie Ronemus, $100.

Third place: Karalyn Williams, $75.

Fourth place: Sandy Miller, $50.

Fifth place: Lauren Butler, $75.

Honorable mentions of $20 each went to Ava DeMelfi, Marissa Blasko and Tony Angelo.

All winning and honorable mention photographs will be displayed in downtown Jim Thorpe through October, giving residents and visitors an opportunity to see the work of local photographers.

Kemmerer Park Association President Jack Sterling thanked Jim Thorpe National Bank for sponsoring the contest and supporting community events.

“Their generosity helps make community programs like this possible and ensures that Kemmerer Park continues to be celebrated as a gathering place of beauty for all to enjoy,” Sterling said.

He added that the photographs demonstrate the role the park plays in the community.

“This contest shows the special nature of Kemmerer Park and how it inspires people. The photographs capture the special role the park plays in people’s hearts,” Sterling said.
