Have you ever wondered how much a family heirloom was worth?
Now may be your chance to put a price tag on it — or at least learn a little more about the piece.
The Nesquehoning Historical Society is hosting an antique appraisal event in October to help raise money for the upcoming America250 celebrations in 2026.
George Blum, an antique expert and appraiser with over 40 years of experience, will be at the society at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19.
“Come out and join us for this fun filled afternoon,” the society posted on its Facebook page. “Bring that treasure and have it appraised by expert George Blum.”
The society is currently filling time slots for appraisals. They are offering two types of time slots, appraisals of one or three items.
The public is also welcome to view the appraisals. There is an admission fee for each of these options.
To make a reservation for an appraisal, call Lois at 570-249-0364.
All proceeds raised from the event will benefit planning for the America250 and Nesquehoning 202nd events being planned for June.
The Nesquehoning Historical Society is located at 157 W. Railroad St.
