State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• A 16-year-old Kunkletown boy had suspected serious injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 8:01 a.m. Sept. 20 on Silver Springs Boulevard, Eldred Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg.

Police said he was driving a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado northbound when it left its lane of travel and hit a utility pole. They said he had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The Silverado had disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.

• Police said a Honda vehicle traveled into a construction zone on Scenic Drive in Polk Township and struck a construction vehicle before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred at 9:52 a.m. Sept. 26.

They said the vehicle was driven by an older Caucasian female who failed to obey instructions by a person who was directing traffic. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Route 534.

The construction vehicle, a 2024 Ford F-550, was driven by Timothy L. Heckman, 24, of Saylorsburg, police said. He was uninjured.
