Poconos skydivers host Breast Cancer awareness weekend

Above the Poconos Skydivers announce its upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend, a two-day event filled with adrenaline, community, and support for a cause that touches countless lives.

The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Above the Poconos Skydivers, 5159 Old Airport Road, Hazle Township.

The weekend will feature two powerful ways to get involved:

• Skydiving for Breast Cancer Awareness: Guests will have the opportunity to take the leap of a lifetime with tandem skydives dedicated to honoring and supporting breast cancer fighters, survivors, and their families.

Outside videographer and photo packages will be available to capture every moment. Limited-edition Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirts will be distributed to participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

• 5K Run for the Cause: On Saturday at 8 a.m., participants wishing to keep their feet on the ground can also participate by joining the Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run beginning at the skydive center.

Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to take part in this community-driven event. T-shirts will be distributed to participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

All proceeds from the weekend will benefit the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, helping provide resources, counseling, and programs for individuals and families impacted by cancer.

“We are honored to combine the thrill of skydiving and the energy of running into a weekend that raises awareness and support for such an important cause,” said Danielle Andreas of Above the Poconos Skydivers. “Whether you’re jumping from the skies or running on the ground, every step and every leap helps make a difference.”
