State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following accidents:

• Joel C. Roberts, 19, of Effort, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 9:59 p.m. Aug. 31 on Milford Road in Smithfield Township, police said. He and a passenger were uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on Airport Road when he fled police who had attempted to stop him for a traffic violation. Police said they terminated pursuit of the Jetta, after which time Roberts attempted to make a left turn at the intersection with Milford Road and the car traveled off the roadway and hit a boulder on an embankment.

Police said Roberts fled the scene but was interviewed the following day and admitted to having been the driver of the Jetta. He was cited for failure to “to give information and render aid,” according to police.

• Maria Y. Jerez, 54, of Saylorsburg, had possible injuries after two-vehicle crash at 7:33 p.m. Sept. 19 at the intersection of Route 209 and Greenview Drive in Hamilton Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg.

They said the crash occurred when Maxxan C. Pryce Simon, 27, of East Stroudsburg, was driving a 2013 Infiniti south on Greenview Drive and failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection, striking a 2019 Jeep Wrangler driven by Jerez.

Police said the Infiniti had disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene while the Jeep had minor damages.

Simon was cited for “duties at a stop sign” and Jerez was cited for driving while her license is suspended or revoked, according to police.
