SEPTEMBER 27, 1961

Bronne Bruzgo of Summit Hill was selected to be honored at the 25th annual General Pulaski Banquet to be held next month at the Polish Hall in Mahanoy City.

Bruzgo, the founder of the Summit Hill Marble and Granite Company, will receive a “Certificate of Recognition” from the lower anthracite region’s Polish American League in recognition of his civic, patriotic and charitable works, as well as his business enterprise.

John A. Malinowski, league president, has arranged for a number of prominent Pennsylvanians to address the gathering, at which some 400 Polish-Americans will be present.

The banquet will honor the 182nd anniversary of the death of Gen. Casimir Pulaski, who died heroically at the Battle of Savannah during the Revolutionary War.
