Commonwealth Charter wins Mid-Atlantic Emmy
Commonwealth Charter Academy, Pennsylvania’s largest K–12 public cyber charter school, is celebrating a major milestone — winning a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for its innovative educational video content.
The award was presented in the Education/Schools — Short Form category at the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards ceremony on Sept. 20 in Philadelphia.
“This recognition is a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work, creativity, and innovation of our entire video production and curriculum teams,” said Thomas D. Longenecker, CCA president and CEO. “Because our learning program is delivered online, engaging and high-quality videos are essential for sparking curiosity and supporting student success.
“Winning an Emmy validates that we are delivering an exceptional, world-class learning experience.”
The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, recognize excellence in television and digital media across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
CCA’s in-house video production team collaborates closely with educators to create thousands of interactive lessons and videos designed to bring learning to life. The award-winning video “Themes in Shadows: Leitmotif” exemplifies the school’s commitment to providing students with engaging, real-world educational experiences.
“This is more than just a win for CCA — it’s a win for our students,” added Longenecker. “When students see content that excites them, they stay engaged, motivated, and ready to learn.”
