The congregation of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Summit Hill, opened its 100th anniversary celebration last night with an impressive program attended by nearly 400 members and guests.

Featured speaker was the Rev. Dr. Ben Mohr Herbster, president of the United Church of Christ in America who called upon the congregation to follow the teachings of Christ and to have tolerance to all of mankind.

Rev. Milton A. May, pastor, conducted the service. Among the participants were church members Oliver Frantz, Audrey Reabold, Robert Stout and Rodney Lechleitner.

A quartet of Bennett Davis, Methodist; Frank Wehr, Lutheran; Wesley Hiles, Presbyterian; and Frantz, UCC, sang “Prayers of the Crusaders.”
