Monroe County incidents

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 28-year-old Philadelphia man was charged with violating a Protection From Abuse order after police responded to Country Heritage Drive and Heritage Boulevard, Hamilton Township, at 3:20 p.m. Sept. 3.

The man’s father, a 66-year-old man from Stroudsburg, has the court order.

Police said the son arrived at the father’s house but fled the scene and was not located in the area after a search.

• A 71-year-old woman from Stroudsburg is the victim of a theft by deception/identity theft incident police were called to at 5:40 p.m. Aug. 27 in Hamilton Township.

Police said the charges were made in California.

• Police were called to a scattering rubbish incident at 9:09 p.m. June 25 at the intersection of Brislin and Shiffer roads in Hamilton Township.

A 37-year-old man from Saylorsburg told police he observed the operator of a white-colored Nissan Titan with dealer plates from Wow Auto dump four pickup truck loads of tires on his property.

• A 62-year-old Sciota man is facing drug possession charges after police responded to a domestic altercation at 4 p.m. Aug. 15 on Lesh Road, Hamilton Township.

Police said the parties of the altercation were separated, after which time the man was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody and charged.

• A 41-year-old Stroudsburg woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police responded to an incident on Gypsum Road, Hamilton Township, at 1:27 p.m. Sept. 3.

Police said they were called for a report of a woman in distress and discovered her to be under the influence.

She told police she drove her 2019 Toyota RAV4 to the scene to make a report of the government tracking her location and was worried about the public watching her through her and phone and laptop.

• Darlene Oltmanns, 58, of Tannersville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 7.

She was stopped in a 2020 Chevrolet for Title 75 violations in the 2700 block of Rimrock Drive, Hamilton Township, after which she was placed under arrest and transported to the police barracks for further testing.

• Police responded to a theft of a motor vehicle incident on Sawmill Road, Hamilton Township, at 12:57 p.m. July 4.

The victims are a 45-year-old man from Stroudsburg and a 52-year-old man from Cresco.

Stolen was CAT machinery. Police said the investigation determined three machines were rented by the suspect, and issues arose regarding payment.

• A 61-year-old Albrightsville man is facing charges after police responded to an incident on Interstate 80 eastbound in East Stroudsburg at 3:24 a.m. Aug. 27.

Police said while on patrol an officer observed a 2019 BMW using red and blue flashing signals while traveling on the interstate, pushing traffic out of the way and operating at speeds in excess of 100 mph.

After the vehicle was stopped, the man was taken into custody and charged with impersonating a public official.

• Police said naloxone had to be administered to a 20-year-old man who overdosed on Helen Street, Hamilton Township.

It happened at 10:05 p.m. Sept. 15 when police were dispatched and found the man who had overdosed in an upstairs bedroom.

They said two doses of naloxone were administered to the man who regained consciousness and was transported by emergency medical services personnel to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Stroudsburg.
