Camelback offers autumn adventures, family festival

Camelback Resort in the Pocono Mountains is offering a range of fall activities this season.

Camelback Mountain Adventures is open daily at 2 p.m. (11 a.m. on weekends).

The park features the 1,000-foot Double Barrel Ziplines and the 4,000-foot Zip Rider, the longest zip line in Pennsylvania.

Other options include the Mountain Coaster, off-road UTV tours, Sunbowl Tubing and miniature golf.

October events include:

• After Dark Adventures (Oct. 3-Nov. 1, 6-10 p.m.): night rides on the coaster, tubing and zip line.

• Family Fall Fest (weekends in October, noon-4 p.m.): free activities including pumpkin bowling, a maze, crafts and goat encounters.

• Movie on the Mountain (Oct. 11, 7 p.m.): screening of “Ghostbusters”; free for resort guests.

• Howl O’Ween Doggie Parade (Oct. 18, 1 p.m.): pet costume contest with prizes; free registration.

• ULLR Fest (Nov. 8, 4-9 p.m.): live music, vendors, bonfire, fireworks and goat snuggling.

• Straight Up Magic (Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.): illusionist Jason Bishop performs with large-scale tricks and sleight of hand.

• Fire pits with s’mores kits can be reserved nightly at Trails End.

• Dining options include Alta Vida, Trails End Pub & Grille, Hemispheres and Graffiti Pizza.

• Fall lodging packages are available.
